Slow Down.
My recipe for today is slow down.
We all seem to think we need to rush around. Some of us keep piling up our plates, till we just can't seem to get enough on it.
So today I want all my readers and friends to just sit back and take five and do some deep breathing.
Now make a list of all the things that are truly the most important in your life.
Now look at this list and say to your self, what can I take off the list to give me more time to enjoy what is truly important to me.
Please our time here comes and goes so fast lets slow down and not rush to meet the end...
Enjoy..

Somewhere out There!
I know that someone needs to be cheered up today or maybe just feel they are loved.
I am here to tell you to look around and you will find that happiness and love in something that is looking you right in the eye. Finding it whether it be a picture, memories of a special moment or something as small as a bird or flower, the clouds just find the beauty in it .
Tomorrow may never come! So love and cherish that what you have today.

Todays Recipe for Your Skin
No organ in the human body contributes more to the human experience than the skin. Clear, smooth and glowing skin dominates our aesthetic attention. We spend more time and money on caring for our skin then any other body part. Keeping our 22-square feet of skin healthy is worth the effort and not just for the benefit of onlookers. Proper care can keep the body from harm in many ways.
The skin is the first line of defense against infectious diseases and toxins; it also helps to maintain internal body temperature. The skin partners with the sun to synthesize vitamin D, a vitamin that plays an important role in many human diseases.
The skin is also the quintessential pain and pleasure messenger with sensors that alert the body to seek shelter from the cold or avoid something that can cause physical harm. It is fundamental to sexual arousal.

This site will help you to get the proper treatment you deserve.
I know personally what arthritis is all about.
Two years ago I was told that I had Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoporosis and Fibromyalgia.
I was so depressed and scared. I have seen three specialist in this field, as one is not good enough for any of us. I said no! I do not have any of these diseases. After many test it was was confirmed, Gigi ! yes you have these diseases. Well needless to say I was crushed and all I could see is myself all crippled out of shape. This is not easy for me to share, but I know there are others out there feeling the same pain every day.
I was so angry at everyone around me I tried hard to lock all this away from my love ones but my whole universe got turned upside down.
I was angry everyday ,crying for no reason, saying things to love ones and people around me I did not mean. I was so depressed.
I have always been a very strong women and my life took me down many roads some good, some not so good. But if that road was bad I would drive in another direction and get my life on track again. Having such a strong will for life and being comfort by the fact I can do anything. One day I was laying in bed crying in pain and feeling sorry for myself and like a jolt of lightning I said girl get your head on straight! I got up and said I will beat this and if I can't beat it I will for sure learn to live with it, because girl you need to concentrate on all the good things and the family in your life that love you so much, before you have no one but your own misery to live with.
That was approximately 3 months ago. I have pain and I see a good doctor who has helped me to learn how to live with what I got.I try to eat right, exercise, keep a good attitude and enjoy every day to its fullest.
My husband deserves best husband award, as he was there to help me any way he could and all I did was give him hell.
My daughter has always been there as a friend and daughter she is my best friend in this world, next to a dear friend Loretta. I can express my thoughts to them and even if they thought I was a mad women they stood by me. I thank them..
I will not go into more detail as I hate to bore anyone I want you all to know we can be strong as there are others out there that wish all they had was Arthritis. We control the mind don't let it control you..

The Importance of Friendships Good friends contribute to your health and well-being.
Like the song says, "You've got to have friends!" It's true — spending time with friends is good for both your emotional and physical well-being.
Spending time with friends is fun, but it may also yield a multitude of long-term physical and emotional health benefits. Studies show that healthy relationships make aging more enjoyable, lessen grief, and provide camaraderie to help you reach personal goals, among other things. Maintaining positive relationships should rank up there with healthy eating and exercise as a necessary investment in your health.
Friends and Well-Being
A number of studies have highlighted the importance of friends and good relationships to health, Here are some of the findings:
* Socially engaged adults age more successfully. According to surveys of women over age 60, those who are socially engaged and visit with friends and family throughout the week are happier as they age.
* Friends can help you achieve your weight and fitness goals. Encouragement and just sharing goes a long way to boosting your willpower.
* Happiness is catching. If you have a friend you consider to be happy, you are more likely to be happy and you are able to spread that happiness to the people around you. A study of 4,739 adults who participated in the Framingham Heart Study between 1983 and 2003 showed that people tend to cluster into happy or unhappy groups, and happiness appears to spread not just to those immediately inside the social group, but to their contacts as well. Having happy friends who live less than a mile away was an especially powerful predictor of happiness.
* Building a circle of friends makes you happy. People who see themselves as a leader in their social circle are happier than those who see themselves as outsiders — another reason why actively building relationships instead of waiting for the phone to ring is important.
* Friends lessen grief. A series of interviews with parents who lost a baby during pregnancy or immediately after birth showed that those who felt they were receiving social support from friends or family were better able to cope with their grief. The most welcome forms of support were simply being physically present, listening, and offering sympathy, encouragement, and practical help, such as making meals or funeral arrangements. In contrast, feeling socially alone tends to worsen grief.
* Being social boosts your immune system. Being socially engaged leads to more positive emotions, which in turn may actually boost your body’s immune system and reduce the physical signs of stress, say health experts.
The Friends You Choose Make a Difference
While it is possible for one happy person to spread happiness to their friends, the reverse is also true — a mildly or chronically depressed friend can bring you down as well. It helps to have a diverse group of friends to lessen this impact.

Cook Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 30 mins
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon oil, canola
- 1 tablespoon coriander seed
- 1 pepper(s), red chile, dried
- 1 teaspoon tamarind concentrate, or juice of one large lime
- 1 cup(s) water
- 1 teaspoon mustard seed, black or yellow
- 6 cup(s) eggplant, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 cup(s) shallot(s), thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon cilantro, fresh, finely chopped

2. Grind in spice grinder or mortar and pestle until the mixture is the texture of coarsely ground black pepper.
3. Dissolve tamarind concentrate (or lime juice) in water. Reheat the oil over medium-high heat; add mustard seeds. When the seeds begin to pop, cover the pan. As soon as the popping stops, add eggplant and shallots; cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
4. Add the tamarind (or lime juice) mixture, salt and the ground spices; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer until the eggplant is fork-tender, 3 to 5 minutes.
5. Coarsely mash the stew with a potato masher. Sprinkle with cilantro and serve.

Harley and The Ribs!!
My day was going great, I decided to make my hubby some baby back ribs, salad, bake potatoes and cornbread.
I was so excited that I had some time before he came home, I decided to do some blogging.
There I was having fun checking out some of my fellow bloggers that I forgot all about the ribs and Harley being in the house. .
I heard the car pulling and of course I did not want hubby to think this is all I do, so I rushed to the kitchen to get the ribs on the BBQ.

The New Motto for 2010!! Start it early!!! Let's Make a Difference!!!
A Poem About Our Girlfriends
Someone will always be prettier. Someone will always be smarter. Some of their houses will be bigger. Some will drive a better car. Their children will do better in school. And their husbands will fix more things around the house. So let it go, and love you and your circumstances. Think about it! The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart. The most highly favored woman at your job may be unable to have children. The richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes~might be lonely. And the word says, 'If I have not Love, I am nothing.' So, again, love you. Love who you are. Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say, 'I am too Blessed to be Stressed and too Anointed, to be Disappointed!' 'Winners make things happen~~Losers let things happen.' Be 'Blessed' Ladies and pass this on to encourage another woman. 'To the world you might be one person, to me, you are special!
